Some thoughts about the police riot at CZtek

To those who are seeing the events as some sort of backdraft into communist times and -thinking by the powers that be in the czech republic i have to say: Wake up - Welcome to the european union! Not at all do those events have something to do with falling back onto the methods of the communist regime, they rather herald the arrival of the new european order of things. Some might mistake the EU as a unificator of a divided europe and favor the seeming advantages of abandonded border controls. In truth the EU will be the great equalizer indeed: same size of vegies in supermarkets, same bureaucracy, same criminal laws, common databases, same control, same repression. While the face of new Europe seems to be liberal on the surface, big brother lurks in the background, wielding a police-nightstick for those who step out of line. The events of czechtek have to be seen in context with the events at e.g. Gotenburg, Genova, Teknival Bretagne 2003, Deform 2004 Barcelona, Evian 2004 etc. pp. Whereever people get together in large groups to either protest or just do their thing without giving a toss about the powers that be, there will be only one answer: brute force that doesn t care if dead corpses are left behind. The mask has been lifted many times already, it is time for us to realize this and not be blinded by the smooth fassade of new Europe.
It s getting harder and harder to squat and create free retreats throughout europe, in many countries there are virtually no squats left and any attempt to occupy a new one will be choked instantly. Even the free passage of borders is a hoax: whenever deemed necessary the Schengen agreement will be abandoned and borders closed for undesired elements. Police is already cooperating in such ways that people who are marked as undesired in one country can be detained in their homecountry by local police so as to prevent any attempts of border crossing. The creation of a common database for police-use will eventually lead to the possibility of a europe-wide movement profile. License plates will be recorded by cameras embedded in toll-stations and automatically checked and stored. Future use of highways will lead to the possibility to track you down in your truck anywhere. The list goes on and on...our lifestyle that is based on freedom of movement and international gatherings is under attack.
This is not one or two isolated politicians like Parubek or Bublan running amok - there is a method to the madness and it will get worse. We must understand that the term "Terrorists" that has been flung at the Tekno-movement many times is not a random exaggarating insult but to same politicians we are are indeed a real threat because we step out of line and we present a very bad example of taking our freedom.
Welcome to police state Europe!
As if to demonstrate my drift a Drum n Bass party in Utah, USA was violently shut down by a militarized task force of the police 3 weeks after CzechTek, mistreating partypeople in the same way. Communist background? You answer that. This is exactly where the whole thing is heading, freedom becames a con...
Fuck 'em and their law!
