This Blog was originally attached to the Cyberrise website. It is no longer and stands now completely by itself while the Cyberrise website is closed and will no longer be continued for personal reasons. As far as I am concerned the soundsystem formerly known as Cyberrise slowly stopped working under the premises it was founded under and it doesn't really reflect my attitude anymore. It would probably be a good thing if that name would be laid to rest. Anyway, on a personal level there comes a point when it is time to let go and move forward.

Greece...

I should probably add a bit of an explanation as to why I started to post seemingly random tidbits from the Greece riots. The reason is simple - there is a contact in Greece who send over some infos about what was going on there and I relayed the information, admittedly not very consistent but then again at that point I didn't really maintain the blog consistently anyway. So there. I would lie if I said I didn't sympathise with an uprising against state violence and I admit I had a chuckle when I saw the picture of a burning x-mas tree in front of the state parliament. Way to go!
But basically the reason for the happenings is a rather sad one and as always there are all kinds of desinformation thrown around regarding the events and the consequences. From what I gather I can only urge everyone to start looking for truth by themselves and not in the mainstream media. It would be silly to believe that with social upheavals this size there wouldn't be deliberate misinformation produced by the state, the police and the mainstream media. I found the articles about the situation of immigrants in Greece after the riots quite interesting, a side you never ever heard of in Germany.
